Seasons of Humanity
You’re made many wonderous things
Whether it’s emotions or thoughts
Cells or ideas all connected with invisible strings
Full of decisions to do and do nots
You are a product of time
Not just by the fact that all age as it flows
But the fact that everyone is different
There are many different paths to climb
People exhibit different traits throughout many alternate throes
At some point our payment, our lives are all but spent
In the journey through a year the seasons change
First comes the frost
Then the thaw
After that the bloom and blaze come to turn to the next page
The fall follows with auburn but not all is lost
As the next year follows with frost’s bite and claw
Humans can be cold and gray
Humanity isn’t something black nor white
But a muddle of all
A blur of what who’s to say
Not all is a blight
So why not have a ball?
Out of the cold something can emerge
With the blooming of flowers there is beauty
To be kind and a bundle of warmth and hope
With a new vigor one can surge
Are these one’s duty?
Perhaps is it rather a choice to do that or mope?
People’s warmth can often be more
It can become blazing and hurtful
When one’s presence becomes suffocating
Or perhaps it’s more of a burning passion calling one away from shore
The willingness to strive from being careful
How close to the safety will someone cling?
A gust of wind takes us to the falling leaves
The branches left bare
All their secret apparent
Is honesty to oneself something that one achieves?
To who does one share
Are one’s walls thicker or thinner than that of a tent?
It goes full circle with the return of winter
Are you someone to spring towards kindness?
Or rather the passion of summer?
The leaves stripped away in fall will honesty cause you to splinter?
Life can be a mess
The journey of life can be sometimes be a bummer
That’s not all though,
There’s a lot out there
It’s your opportunity to explore
Repetition yet difference is the flow
